From time to time, English Setters need to be re-homed for a variety of reasons: the owners’ situation changes and they can no longer keep the dog, the dog is abused or neglected, or the dog is lost and ends up in a shelter or is surrendered to a shelter.
Breed rescue takes these dogs and tries to match them with a new home. Their medical and emotional needs are taken care of, and those deemed suitable for loving new homes are offered for adoption. All rescued English Setters are neutered, current on vaccinations, brought to good health, and microchipped before being offered for adoption.
If you would like to take one of these wonderful English Setters into your home, click on Contact Us under About Our Club. Sheer joy awaits you when you adopt one of these dogs. Almost all English Setters are sweet and affectionate. Rescued English Setters are so grateful for all you offer them and return your love a thousand-fold. Reputable rescue groups evaluate the temperaments and health of all dogs in their care and will only place those who are suitable for a new home.
